Director of Nursing (RN)

Albuquerque, New Mexico Health Full-Time Fee: $300 to $500

About the Role

This role leads nursing operations for a cardiovascular ICU, combining management responsibility with hands-on bedside coverage when needed, in a 1st shift, no-weekends schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee CVICU nursing staff, scheduling, and clinical standards.
  • Step in at the bedside for staffing coverage when needed.
  • Support complex cardiac cases including ECMO, LVAD, Open Heart, Impella, and balloon pump patients.

Qualifications

  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing (or enrolled in a BSN program with a completion date).
  • Current RN license or license accepted by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
  • 3 years of CVICU experience, including 2 to 3 years in a management capacity.
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
  • Extensive cardiac background required; purely medical ICU experience without cardiac exposure is not a fit.

Work Schedule

1st shift, 40-hour work week, no weekends.
